Bumpin' with Brittany: Maternity Session with Brittany Barnette

I recently had a conversation with a friend who said, “there’s nothing more beautiful than a mommy-to-be.” That was the first thought I had after doing Brittany’s maternity session. I worked with Brittany a year prior and was elated to hear from her again when she asked me to do her maternity session.

It took me a minute, but I finally realized where I wanted to shoot the images. This pergola I had driven past many times sprang to mind. I don’t know why it hadn’t come to mind sooner as the first time I saw it I knew I wanted to do a maternity session there.

 So, on a humid Saturday afternoon in August, Brittany was already to create some magic in her blue maternity gown. Clearly foreshadowing the gender of her unborn child. Of course, she was ravishing. The contrast of the scenery against the electric hue of her dress was sublime.

Congratulations Brittany! I know that this baby is going to be so loved once he enters the world.
